Is that an 8 pin charge port on the Tesla Semi?
Many sites, including this one, have speculated on the unusual configuration of the charge port visible on the Tesla Semi at the recent reveal event.
It may be that this approach is being used to charge four electrically separate battery packs simultaneously, multiplying the speed at which the semi can charge, even if all other specifications remain the same. This, of course, is a great example of the Merging Principle.
