Steve Jobs is one of the most idolized tech entrepreneurs of all time. He put Apple on its path to be the first trillion dollar company the world has ever seen. While many credit this success to Jobs’ product design prowess, in his book titled “The Way To Design“, Steve Vassallo offers another explanation:
Steve Jobs’s true brilliance was in designing a system for repeatable genius.
In other words, Jobs created at Apple the teams, processes and culture that was able to produce innovative and desirable products over and over.
That phrase, “repeatable genius”, gives me chills, because it perfectly summarizes the mission of this website. If you’re not making something new, you’re doing the work of a machine. Machines are standing by to do our bidding – or replace us at work.
The challenge for us is to come up with something remarkable and positive – something new – for them to do.
On this site my goal is to discover and share methods for you and your organization to find repeatable genius, a set of skills that allows the individual, the startup and the established organization continuously design great products.
